As someone who wants to start an exercise program or lose weight, I know that simply thinking or saying these words isn’t enough. To truly achieve my goals, I need to take action. This means generating the energy to make them a reality by moving my body. Whether going to a studio to work out, riding my horse, taking a hike, or preparing a healthy meal, I must do something every day to create the change I want. Sitting around and repeating affirmations won’t cut it.

Spring is inspiring because it represents a fresh start. It’s a time for new beginnings, resetting, and rebooting. It’s like spring cleaning for your life! This is the perfect time of year to start a new project or revive an old one. By clearing your desk, cleaning your house, and cleansing your body, you’ll be ready to welcome a new, healthier you.

Have you been trying to stick to your new year’s resolution of getting into shape? It’s important to remember that no one will force you to leave your computer, phone, or TV. It’s up to you to decide how to spend your time. However, the choices you make every day can have a significant impact on your future. If you continue to sit for long periods without incorporating a healthy lifestyle, you may feel lazy, overweight, and out of shape. On the other hand, if you commit to starting your mornings with exercise, planning nutritious meals, and shopping for fresh produce and protein, you can create a fit and healthy body.   5. Take long walks around your neighborhood, aiming for 10,000 steps daily. Most phones have a tracking system to monitor your steps.
  6. Stretch daily.
  7. Meditate for five minutes every day for 90 days. Find a comfortable position, close your eyes, breathe in and out, and focus on your breathing.
  8. Write out your goals and create a clearly defined action plan for how to achieve them. Determine how much weight you want to lose and what areas you want to focus on.
  9. Find an accountability partner.  Tell a friend your plan and ask them to help you stay on track.
